Starting A Women's Ministry

How to get things started.

Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start, in order to get women at your church involved in ministry. For example:

a) I am part of a church that runs a number of social events for women but there’s not much Word ministry going on. What can I do?

b) I want to get some ministry happening at my church for women but I’m not sure how to make that happen or where to start.

c) I would like to see more women at my church trained and serving in ministry roles. What can I do?

Steps you can take towards these goals:

Speak to your pastor or a member of the Eldership about your ideas. Take the time to write your thoughts down. Be as clear and calm in your communication as possible.

Choose two to three women at your church or in your community to invest in. Can you meet up with them to read the Bible and pray?

Look at the resources section for ideas.
